DESCRIPTION

EnVi Media Group is a multimedia pop culture platform with an emphasis on K-pop, K-drama, and culture. It covers art, film, music, beauty, and lifestyle through exclusive interviews, podcasts, and a YouTube channel. EnVi initially started as a fan-made online magazine project, but quickly developed into a media company recognized by top talent thanks to the talented creatives in the team and innovative ways in which we create content. As a social media associate, I am in charge of displaying our content to global audiences in unique and engaging ways. My responsibilities include managing social channels, developing original social series that grow following, using data and research to stay updated with current trends, and communicating our brand identity through cohesive content. I chose this experience as I was fascinated by how fast EnVi has grown into the platform it is today and believe I could learn a lot by how collective passion towards a subject can lead to rapid growth through innovation.

EnVi Media Group

As a media company, connections are crucial for solidifying exclusive content and attracting talent to work with us. With this in mind, I pushed to improve our LinkedIn presence with an employee spotlight series called #EnViEmpowerment. After seeing the Slack channel constantly flooded with uplifting comments about the team and EnVi, I wanted to share these sentiments on LinkedIn to show a glimpse of EnVi's passionate and empowering culture to a wider audience. The #EnViEmpowerment series boosted our LinkedIn engagement by 600%. What started as a page with 91 followers has now prospered into a growing page with 985 followers, and I am glad that my series can provide a platform for Team EnVi to share their stories to a greater audience.

​Through this experience, I learned a lot about how to communicate with a variety of audiences. Dealing with multiple fanbases can be difficult, as each fanbase is a community with unique cultures and nuances that we must do sufficient research on to be aware of. This has taught me how to be detail-oriented in copy writing in order to attract key audiences using specific language and topics.
